Mazalat Hut is in Central Balkan National Park at 1,525m in the Mandrishteto area, on the Kom-Emine (E3) trail.
Best Access Routes
From Gabrovo (2-3hr drive):

Partizanska Pesen Hut (easiest/popular): 24km asphalt from Gabrovo, park at hut (1190m), then 2-3hr red-marked hike (slight ascent, forest/winter views). Uzana Hut: 22km asphalt, 3.5hr red trail (summer forest or winter panoramic). Tazha Hut (west): 3.5hr ridge walk via Singing Rocks. Lagat (north): 3hr from Stokite village, steep/landslide-prone. Avoid wet weather. Skobelevo village (south): 4.5hr blue trail, train access.
