Septemvri Hut sits on Vitosha Mountain near Sofia, Bulgaria, offering a cozy retreat in a mixed forest setting. The hut is located on the northern slopes of Vitosha Mountain, below Balabana Peak (1722m), at an elevation of 1495-1497 meters above sea level.
Septemvri serves as a welcoming second home in the mountains, featuring cozy hospitality, home-cooked meals, and fresh forest air for recharging away from city life. It includes a children’s playground, fast WiFi, remote work spaces (30 seats inside, 60 outside).
Hike from popular Vitosha starting points such as Zlatni Mostove (Golden Bridges), a classic 3-hour yellow-marked trail passing the hut en route to Aleko Hut, or from Boyana area via trails to nearby huts like Momina Skala. Bus 63 reaches Zlatni Mostove from Sofia’s Krasno Selo metro, while bus 66 goes to Aleko area (Hotel Moreni) for onward hiking; driving is possible via paved roads from Dragalevtsi but with weekend restrictions.
