Planinec hut is located in Svrachar on the northern slopes of Vitosha Mountain, western part of the mountain.
From Sofia: Head to Boyana quarter (кв. Бояна) via the ring road or Boulevard Bulgaria. About 6 km before Zlatnite Mostove, turn toward Svrachar / Planinec hut. Asphalt road all the way to the hut.
Hiking routes: From Zlatnite Mostove: ~6 km, ~1.5-2 hours; From Vladaya: Longer route through forest; From Knyazhevo cable car upper station: ~40 minutes.
