Vihren Hut is located in the Pirin Mountains of Bulgaria at an altitude of approximately 1915 meters. It serves as a starting point for hikes to Vihren Peak, the highest peak in the Pirin range at 2914 meters. The hut is situated near Bansko, accessible by taxi or shuttle from the town. You can also take the gondola lift from Bansko to the upper station called Banderiska Polyana, and then hike approximately 1 hour to the hut, with an elevation gain of about 350 meters.

The hut is electrified and has heating suitable for mountain conditions. There is a restaurant serving traditional Bulgarian cuisine, a kitchen, a bar, a buffet, and a tourist dining room. Rooms include shared dormitory-style rooms, options for smaller rooms, and bungalows for different preferences.
