Popovi Livadi Hut is in the lower part of Middle Pirin Mountain, Bulgaria, at 1412–1419 m elevation in the Popovi Livadi (Papazchair) locality, on the border between Middle and Southern Pirin, surrounded by coniferous forest.
The hut is highly accessible by car year-round via asphalt road, making it one of the easier Pirin huts to reach.
By car: From Gotse Delchev, follow the paved road for 15–17 km (wide asphalt, some sharp turns; last section may have potholes but passable for standard cars). Parking available at the hut.
By foot from Pirin Hut: Red-marked E4 trail along Middle Pirin ridge (several hours through forests, passing Orelyak Peak).
It has a mehana (tavern) for 40 people, a summer bar with 60 outdoor seats, barbecue, children’s playground and parking.
A diverse kitchen is offered along with all kinds of alcoholic, non-alcoholic, and hot drinks. In-house kitchen production includes cheverme (rotisserie meat), sheep yogurt, milk, and pitki (flatbreads). Wine tasting tours to the town of Melnik are organized upon request from tourists.
