Malina hut

Malina Hut (хижа „Малина“) is in Central Pirin, in the Kalugera (Dolen Kaluger) area at about 1670–1680 m, on the western side of the range below Boykov Vrah and near Todorova Polyana pass, between Pirin Hut and the main Central Pirin ridge. It is in the municipality of Sandanski/region of Melnik, typically approached from Pirin village / Pirin Hut side or via long ridge traverses from other Pirin huts.

Main access routes

The usual approach for most hikers is via Pirin Hut:

• From Pirin Hut (хижа „Пирин“): marked trail, roughly 1.5–2 hours on foot to Malina Hut across forested Central Pirin terrain. From Melnik / Rozhen area: Melnik is a starting point for long hikes into Central Pirin; Pirin Hut is about 5–6 hours from Melnik, after which Malina Hut is another 1.5–2 hours.
