Hotel Iceberg is an apart hotel in the heart of Borovets, the oldest ski resort in Bulgaria, on the northern slopes of Rila. The Yastrebets gondola starts about 150 metres from the hotel, so on a winter morning you can be on your way up the mountain within minutes.
Open since 2009, the hotel has 60 rooms and apartments, an indoor pool, a 100-seat restaurant and its own disco. It works well for ski weeks, family holidays and company events, and in summer the landscaped garden and views of Rila make it a calm base for walks in the pine forest.
The restaurant seats 100 and is open from 8:00 to 23:00, serving traditional and signature dishes from Bulgarian and European cuisine. It also hosts family celebrations, company dinners and business meetings. In the lobby bar, guests sit by the fireplace with coffee, wine or a cocktail, and during the day it serves sandwiches, burgers and lighter dishes.
The spa zone has a 15 m indoor pool (1.40 m deep), a Finnish sauna, a pool bar and a fitness room with Technogym equipment, all open from 10:00 to 20:00. The gym is free for hotel guests; children under 16 may not use it.
Disco Iceberg opens on Fridays and Saturdays in the winter season from 23:00 to 04:00, with parties featuring well-known Bulgarian performers. Tables can be reserved on +359 883 772 779.
Next to the restaurant there is a children’s corner for kids aged 3 to 10 (with an accompanying adult), and the garden has a playground. The hotel also has storage for your own ski and snowboard equipment, a conference hall for up to 80 people, and a limited number of spaces in an outdoor car park.
The hotel offers six room types. Double rooms (25 m²) come with a double bed or two single beds, and there is also a deluxe double room; each sleeps two adults and a child up to 11 on an extra bed, and the double room can also be booked for one adult. Triple rooms (30 m²) take three adults, or two adults and a child. Two-bedroom apartments (60 m²) have a double bedroom and a twin bedroom for up to five guests, and the VIP deluxe two-bedroom apartment sleeps four adults and up to three children. Every room has towels, slippers, toiletries, cable TV, Wi-Fi, a bathroom with shower or bath, central heating and a terrace. Prices for winter 2026/27, with breakfast, are shown for each room below. Hotel Iceberg is in the centre of Borovets, about 150 m from the Yastrebets gondola, on the northern slopes of Rila at around 1,350 m. The resort is 10 km from Samokov and about 70 km from Sofia Airport. In summer, trails from the resort lead towards Musala, the highest peak in the Balkans (2,925 m), and the former royal hunting lodge of Tsarska Bistritsa is a short walk away.
