Chumerna Hut

Chumerna Hut is at 1,466m on the northern slopes of Chumerna Peak (1,536m) in the Eleno-Tvardishki Balkan (eastern Stara Planina), Sliven Province—near Tvarditsa Pass, part of E3 Kom-Emine trail.

Chmerna Hut Access Routes
The easiest way is from Tvarditsa Pass summit (north): just 30min-1hr via asphalt road east from the pass high point (signposted), with 4×4 recommended for the last 2km gravel to parking near the hut.

From Elena town: 1hr drive to the pass + 30min walk along the marked road.

From Tvarditsa town: 45min drive to pass summit, then continue east on foot or vehicle.

From Bukovec Hut: 1.5hr along the marked trail.

From Miykovtsi village: about 4hr hike via Bukovec trail.
