Zavrachica Hut lies in the Rila mountain range at an elevation of approximately 2,178 meters above sea level. It is situated near the Zavratschitsa valley, accessible via marked hiking trails and serves as a base on various trekking routes including those leading to Musala peak and towards Belmeken hut. The hut is surrounded by impressive mountainous landscapes, wide grassy ridges, and valleys typical of eastern Rila.
It can be reached primarily by hiking along marked mountain trails. Key approach routes include:
From Borovets Resort: approximately 6 hours on foot via marked paths, or about 4 hours if using the Sitnyakovo chairlift followed by hiking.
From Granchar Hut: around 3.5 hours hiking.
From Musala Hut: about 6 hours hiking.
From Belmeken Hut: about 6.5 hours hiking.
From Maritsa Hut: about 1 hour hiking.
From Chakur Voivoda Hut: roughly a 5.5-hour hike along the left bank of the Prava Maritza River.
