Karandila Hut is located in the Central Balkan Mountains (Sredna Stara Planina), near Karandila Peak (1,242m), about 12 km from Gabrovo, along the road to Etara.
Access Routes
By car: From Gabrovo via marked asphalt road through Vrabchetsi village to the hut (~25-30 min drive).
Hiking: From Gabrovo town (3-4 hours marked trail), Sokolna Hut (2 hours), or Etara (1.5 hours).
Karandila Hut offers clean, renovated rooms with private bathrooms/toilets in each—total capacity around 70 beds. There is a new building as well featuring apartment options too.
